Welcome to my website!

To write a story that connects readers with another time and place has been a dream of mine for a long time. Like everyone who wants to write, I questioned whether the story was any good; I wondered if it made sense; I worried that no one would read it. Then my 14-year-old son convinced me it might work.

“It’s pretty good, Mom, really,” he said.
“Really? Do you think so?
“Well, yeah; it is. I like it—a lot, but …
“But what?” I asked.

Well, it’s about a kid who’s 14. He’s, you know, probably interested in girls… . So, it needs a little romance. That’s all.

And with that conversation, On Rough Seas became more than a dream.

This is my debut novel, and I’m grateful to you for taking a moment to visit this site and find out a bit more about Alec and Eva and the effects of World War II on their relationship. You’ll also find out a little bit about me and my path to this page and to writing for young adults. I’ve included information on how I can be contacted, and in the near future, I’ll do a little blogging. But for now, enjoy your travels through the site and let me know if I can answer any questions.

I hope you find it a place where you can be encouraged to read and to pursue your own writing.
